A Single conductor wire is usually shielded with plastic or rubber insulation. They are usually formed by drawing through hole of insulated materials like plastic, polymers, rubber, etc. These wires come in sold conductor, stranded or braided form. Wires can be manufactured in square or flat other than their circular form based on the purpose.
Single solid wire consists of one piece of metal wire where as Stranded electrical wire are made of small wires bundled together to form larger conductor.
